Description
In this course, you will work in a team to build a solution for a given client. You will analyse their problem, design and realise an appropriate solution. You will use an agile project management processes to manage your project.
Learning Outcome
You collaborate in a team using an iterative development methodology to apply basic requirements modelling, software engineering, and data science techniques to analyse, design, realise, and evaluate a simple software solution that demonstrates industry standards for good quality.

Activities
  • You will be allocated to teams where you will complete the project following an agile project management approach
  • You will apply appropriate elicitation techniques to gather requirements from the given client and document it in an industry-standard manner
  • You will choose and design an appropriate system architecture, documenting the results
  • You will implemented the project using a prescribed programming language
  • You will evaluate the project with the client using various validation techniques
  • You will follow the software development lifecycle from paper prototypes to final delivery
  • You will present your project in a team as various stages, including the final deliverable
  • You will make use of agile activities, including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives and guided by a lecturer and/or teaching assistant
  • You will be guided and assessed on your contribution to the project technically as well as reflection on the development of your professional skills
